Experience the thrill of dogsledding in Beitostølen’s winter landscape. Meet friendly huskies and learn to steer your own sled before heading out on a guided tour. Two guests share a sled and take turns driving. The 2.5-hour tour includes warm clothing, winter boots, and a break with snacks and a hot drink.

Description

Get ready for an unforgettable husky experience in the heart of winter. After a short transfer to our dog kennel, you’ll be equipped with warm clothing, including an insulated overall and winter boots, ensuring a comfortable journey in cold conditions. You’ll then meet our friendly, energetic huskies and receive a clear introduction on how to handle, lead, and steer your own sled team.

Once you’re ready, the adventure begins. Guided by an experienced musher, you’ll set off on a magical 12–16 km dog-sledding journey through stunning winter landscapes, surrounded by the majestic peaks of Jotunheimen. The tour lasts around 2.5 hours, offering time to enjoy both the excitement and the peaceful silence of the mountains.

Two guests typically share a sled, taking turns driving and relaxing. Along the way, we’ll pause for a cozy break with snacks and a hot drink.

Restrictions:
No previous experience is required. Participants should have average physical fitness, good balance, and be willing to learn and follow the guide’s instructions at all times.

Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult; please contact us in advance for children under 6.
