land, surrounded by natural, untouched, and unspoiled nature.
Join us in the land of the giants, Jotunheimen, with this family package
conceived for those in need of fun, adrenaline, and much more! In the land of
Frozen, nothing beats skiing, that's true, but we have so much more to offer; exciting
thrills paired with cold chills, air boarding, snow rafting and dogsledding are
just some of the hidden treats locals reserve to themselves, and what about
winter kayak or snowshoeing? Calmer than snow rafting, but equally tough … Are
you ready to create core memories with us?
Day 1
Bus ride to Jotunheimen
Today you
will start your Norwegian winter adventure with a scenic bus ride which will
take you from the vibrant, modern capital of Oslo towards more laid-back
sceneries, in the frame of Beitostølen, a little village located in the
mountainous region of Jotunheim. After 4 hours through jaw-dropping views from
the bus, you will be able to step into Norwegian everyday life.
Once farm area, Beitostølen has been turned into ski-mecca for both alpine and
cross-country enthusiasts, and with many other activities to keep the family
entertained at all times!
If you manage to arrive early, it's worth start with a nice activity like air
boarding or toboggan – this last one very popular among Norwegian children -
before a well-deserved rest at your accommodation!

Day 2
Dogsledding and snowrafting
To start
the day with a good serotonin dose, nothing beats dog sledding! Huskies are
renowned for their energy, speed and eagerness to run in snow, which gives you
frenzy vibes during this activity in the beautiful snow-capped Beitostølen! You
will get to know the dogs who will be running you around, as well as the
practical aspects of dog sledding before sitting in the sledge as a spectator!
In a second moment, adults can try first-hand the thrill of leading a sledge,
testing their knowledge and leadership skills! This 3-hour activity include a
wilderness meal as well, to challenge your taste buds with Norwegian flavors in
a family-friendly activity!
In the afternoon devote yourself to some sketchy activity, like snow rafting! Sit
in a rafting boat and slide downhill full speed, you will not need much
physical efforts, but you will get an unforgettable experience with plenty of
excitement! And for those who do not crave the adrenaline rush, it is always
possible to go back to toboggan…

Day 3
Horseback riding and airboarding
Norway is
not just skiing and hiking, but horseback riding as well! Although less
widespread as the other two activities, horse-back riding used to be a popular
way of transport in the past; and what's best for a family than a relaxed and
easy activity in contact with animal?
Our horses are always looking forward to meet and greet new friends, and to get
some crispy, fresh air and to keep us toasty, we will have a stop with
campfire, with nice snacks and hot beverages – but be careful of sneaky furry
ill-intentioned animals, they might attempt stealing food!
In the afternoon, if you still have energy, you can dedicate yourself to the
activity you liked the most: will it be airboarding or tobogoan?

Day 4
Snowcoach and snowshoeing, accommodation in remote village in Jotunheimen
After the
first 3 days of full action, today we begin with a relaxing transfer from Beitostølen
back to Fagernes where we catch the coincidence in direction Tyin, another
great location for winter activities! Tyin has been a natural playground for
locals since 1900s, being the western door to Jotunheimen and today you will
get the occasion to test it first-hand!
From Tyin you will board our historic bombardiers in direction of the secluded
location of Eidsbugarden, one of the oldest touristic areas in Norway, and
still very much in use by locals for ski trails or hiking tours. Upon arrival,
the staff will explain the best paths to enjoy the view and the activity,
before letting you roam in the wilderness.

Day 5
Snowshoeing, snowcoach and Sognefjord

ready for the next activity!

Day 6
Winter kayaking
After the
adrenaline and the frenzies of the mountains, it's time to discover the hidden side of the fjords in winter; beautiful to see from ferries and boats, perfect to be
experienced at a close distance!
Winter kayak may seem daunting to many, but it allows new perspectives during a
period when most of the fjords are empty, giving ample spaces to discover the
waters at your own pace and tranquility. During this 3-hour activity you will
learn how to steer a kayak to the discover of Sognefjord's most tranquil arm,
in the beautiful frame of Årdal, village known for its rich history in wood
commerce and aluminum production which still has its importance nowadays. Glide
silently on the water, observing the deep hues of blue contrasting the whites
of the mountains, and lean your ears to catch the sound of hidden activity
under or above the sea!

Day 7
World's longest car tunnel, Viking village
From
modernity and sport frenzy to calm and ancient ways of life, today we take the
bus towards Gudvangen, home to Viking settlements since ancient times.
In Gudvangen there have always been several places of worship since
pre-Christian times, as the name suggests ("vang" being the noun for open space
in front of places of worship, and "Gud" as noun for God), but today locals have
recreated a Viking village to remember and celebrate the importance of the
place in local history. Wander through the huts and discover how Vikings used
to live, work and spent their free time.

the big city!
